Brighton part 1

Yesterday Jack and I decided to leave Rickmansworth and head down south to the seaside and Brighton.
I hadn't been there for years, well not since 2009 when I went down with some friends of mine and Jack hadn't been down there since he was a kid either, so thought it would be good to see again.
It took a couple of hours to drive and we got there at about 1pm.
We were very lucky and couldnt have asked for better weather, it was about 23 degrees I'd say.
I was worried it would be a bit cold as Brighton is by the sea but it was perfect really.
We didn't have massive plans on what to do, but I wanted to see the Royal Pavilion.
I didn't even know such place existed last time I was here, but not long ago I saw some photos
of the place and it looked amazing. And it sure was for someone like me who love old buildings!
Im not going to get all historical now, but simply click on the link above or google!
I'll provide you with some photos instead! iphone photos, hence the quality.

Well, you can see for yourself that it's no wonder I was pretty amazed!
Unbelievable what people can do and build, especially back in 1787 when they first started on this building.

Back to the trip!

We walked past a beautiful fountain!

We walked on to the famous Brighton pier.  On the pier you can find restaurants, food and sweet kiosks,
bars, a funfair (!), a building with lots of slotmachines, kids games etc. Very cool!

 Here's the gambler herself.

Bit of the view from the pier. Not too bad!
You can see cliffs in the distance on this one. Jack and I took a walk to get closer to them.
Once again, amazing!

But first off, coffee break at The Mock Turtle.

Massive hazelnut cake and coffee.

That's it for now, part 2 will be up shortly.
I think.
